The next standalone novel from Nicole Jacquelyn about love, friendship, and forgiveness.
Henry Harris was living his dream as a staff sergeant in the Marines. When he’s killed in action, his devastated family is in for one more shock: he had a daughter they never knew about.
Morgan Riley has been raising Etta on her own, and that’s always been fine by her – until Henry’s brother Trevor arrives on her doorstep, willing to do anything to help and make up for his brother’s mistakes. Their attraction feels wrong, but Morgan can’t seem to turn him away.
Trevor is suddenly in too deep. He has always wanted a family, but Etta and Morgan come with complications. Yet as Etta brings them closer together, Trevor begins to imagine giving Morgan and Etta the life his brother never could. But he wonders if Morgan will ever learn to trust another man with her heart, especially a man whose last name is Harris.

➳There is always a first time for finding true love in the forbidden, and Nicole Jacquelyn has found a way to write this in a phenomenal romance story filled with angst, emotions, and such raw passion towards the characters…
➳As an avid reader for emotional romance stories, I can say that my love for this novel is immense and I am beyond glad that I did not hesitate to pick up this novel since I have never read a novel by Jacquelyn before. That being said, this girl is going to have to read the first and second book in this series to understand the characters mentioned in this novel. However, with this novel a lot can be said in regards to the characters and the love I have for them. Trevor is an individual who has gone through the loss of someone important in his family, a family that has gone through many other obstacles life has put them in. When he encounters himself with some unexpected news and meets Morgan, everything changes for him and his way of living. As the older brother from a huge family, he is expected to act in a certain manner in which makes everyone take a step back when they soon realize his obsession with Morgan and his need to protect her.
➳Morgan, a single mother of one, being struck with some sudden surprise that can help alter the life of her daughter, meets Trevor and the chemistry sparks instantly. However, the forbidden aspect fo this romance novel is the honesty of Trevor being the uncle of said little girl who has been raised by Morgan, her mother. “Forbidden” is a very flexible word as both Trevor and Morgan seem to find a way through their obstacles on how to be together as a family. The sudden need to protect Morgan and their precious one is one absolutely drools over Trevor. No matter what he does or what he thinks, everything he does for Morgan is the one thing I adore the most;
“Morgan had become just as important. I craved her like I’d never craved anything in my life, even knowing how wrong it was. I wanted them both, and that scared the shit out of me…”
➳When the barriers are brought down between Trevor and Morgan, the chemistry just spark instantly. Something that I rarely find in a full length romance novel. The messages being said in this novel are also very powerful. Pain, life struggles, being a single mother, rape drugs, college life, and unexpected twists and turns— they all make this novel worth reading and take your sweet little to enjoy and throughly let the words sink in.
➳Overall this is yet another romance novel that I hope many get a chance to read this year. I am so glad I listened to my favorite publicist Estelle from FR about this beauty since I am looking forward to reading the previous novels in the series very soon. If you are looking for a romance that will break your heart and mend it all over again then I recommend adding this one to your tbr as it will for sure make you crave more of Jacuqleyn’s writing.

Nicole Jacquelyn is the mom of two little girls and a full time college student. She hasn’t watched television in well over a year, she still does things that drive her mother crazy, and she loves to read. At eight years old, when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she told people she wanted to be a mom. When she was twelve her answer changed- to author. By the time she was eighteen, when people asked her what she wanted to do with her life, she told them she really wanted to be a writer- but the odds of that happening were so slim that she’d get her business degree “just to be safe”. Her dreams stayed constant. First she became a mom, then she went to college, and during her senior year- with one daughter in first grade and the other in preschool, she sat down and wrote a story.
