Who would have thought that the idea of a possessive kidnapper would be so appealing in this insta-love romance story by Alexa Riley

➳When it comes down to romance novels that involved instant attraction and insta-love, with the mix and combination of an alpha male such as Ryker, I am a goner and I am swooned over for sure. Not a lot of authors have the audacity to write such romances, but Alexa Riley always seems to know how to write them no matter the cost and no matter how possessive an alpha male can get. Not going to lie, this beauty reminded me a lot of Celia Aaron’s novel THE BAD GUY, but in a more AR vibe kind of way where the male hero is the sweetest individual you could ever read, with the spice of being a little bit too obsessed with Blaire, the female protagonist.

➳Finding out the truth after being in a relationship for six years with an asshole that has never treated her right, Blaire is contradicted in a place and situation where she cannot escape from Ryker and magic ways of romancing her. Blaire was always put in a situation where she kept looking out for herself, and in her mind she thought she finally found someone who would help her throughout the years of solitude and be her partner in every way. Once she realizes what Fritz has been doing, her ex-boyfriend, Ryker is there to help her out and save her from any harm that may come towards her.

➳This romance novel is different in a way that the length of the novel is a tad bit longer than any other AR novella that has not been published by Carina Press. I am glad they indulged in the idea of doing a full length novel filled with so much romance, drama, and problematic issues one may encounter with the law. I am utterly in love with Ryker. He can take me whenever he wants and whichever way he wants. While Blaire is such a strong woman, loving her attitude and her sweet and innocent persona is something that makes me admire her character amongst all other characters Alexa Riley has written in the past.

➳Thank you so much to both authors for providing an advance copy of this beauty as I will forever cherish it and enjoy it a lot. I plan on re-reading this novel very soon as MY obsession with Ryker is immense as well. If you are looking for a romance novel that will captivate you in a way that makes you want a possessive alpha male, then this one is definitely it. Beware of the instant-attraction both characters have, but also beware of the ride that Ryker indulges you in.
