Womanizer By Katy Evans – ARC Book Review

Womanizer (Manwhore, #4)Womanizer by Katy Evans
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Smoking has never looked and felt so dangerous and sexy, before Callan and Olivia in this hot new sexy story by Katy Evans…

Katy Evans never seems to disappoint her readers when it comes down to the subject of a good balance and mixture of drama and romance. Her writing is a pure mixture of sophistication and normalcy, with a side of spicy steamy sex to it. This story is definitely like no other she has written, this one has the vibes of buoyancy and independence, but most of all vibes of pure love. Callan Carmichael is THE person that you first see in the cover: rouged, tough, smokes, and a total bachelor of the most. What you don’t see in the picture is the true Callan.

He is so loveable and determined, but most of all a total sweetheart. When he meets Olivia though, he is a total goner! You can tell from the first interaction Livvy has with him that these two are total swoon worthy. Marking someone as a bachelor in most cases means that there is a backstory that lead them to where they are at… Callan is not a newbie on those;

”I don’t know that I can love someone that deeply,” he says. He frowns as if remembering something, and he glances at his glass and strokes his thumb around the rim. “I’m not built that way.”

Olivia on the other hand, is not looking for something to settle. She is only in Chicago to gain experience in part of his company so she can start her business in the future back in Texas, where she is originally from. A curve ball was sure thrown at her when meeting Callan, also known as Hot Smoker Guy, the Mail Guy, sucker machine… (For me, he is simply Mr. Romance of the year!) Olivia is a woman with independent tastes. She tries not to depend her life from her parents, but her brother is another aspect and also another former manwhore we have seen in the past, Tahoe from “Ladies Man.” Tahoe is beyond protective of Livvy which is cute when you look at it in a sibling type of way, but Tahoe comes to a point that Livvy needs to top him and Callan needs to step in to claim her as his.

”You taste so sweet.” He tastes me deeper, as if he wants more, and holds me even closer. “You’re so sweet,” he says in an even huskier voice…

They are both absolutely incredible in bed, so sweet and tender. But Callan portrayed something that I was not expecting… He is not 100% dominating in bed but still keeps things in control, giving a mixture of equilibrium to their intimate scenes, and also giving Olivia control over their relationship both inside and outside of the bedroom. She is so candor on everything she wants him to do to her body, which is refreshing to read because I don’t read that very often.

Even though throughout their “relationship” they both try to negate each other, while Olivia does not want to get hurt, their chemistry is so strong and thick that not even a steak knife would be able to cut through it. They can definitely be considered as one of those couples that just simply cannot be apart.

”I like how infuriating he is. How he pushes me and brings out my competitive side. How he smokes and dangles that cigarette from his mouth. His touch and his kiss.

Even though the whole story is in Olivia’s pov, there is a twist at the end that brings us a perspective point of Callan’s. Thankfully we are able to read what Callan thinks, and has been thinking this whole time being with Olivia. Katy, yet again never seems to satisfy her readers by giving us a glimpse of what is to come in her future stories/books. Wynn, Olivia’s co-worker and no best friend will be introduced to Callan’s brother, Cullen Carmichael and I cannot wait to get my hands on her next masterpiece… Thank you to Katy for the chance on reviewing this book!
